Student Ministry

FBC STUDENTS EXIST TO HELP STUDENTS ENGAGE ANYONE, ANYWHERE AT ANY TIME WITH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST.

Sunday Morning Life Group

Life Groups meet every Sunday morning at at 9:30am upstairs in the student ministry room. It’s all about relationships, digging deep into God’s Word, and each other’s lives. This is where church starts to feel like family. Life Groups allow students to build relationships with adults that passionately love Jesus as well as with students who are right where they are in their present day struggles. Students will be able to learn and understand the Word of God, grow in their faith, and develop friendships with believers their age that will last a life time.

Wednesday Midweek

Midweek is a great chance for our middle and high school students to worship with their peers in services that are specifically geared to them. It is a fun time, but most importantly we have the opportunity to worship the living King together. We travel through teaching series together examining what the Bible has to say about life’s tough issues and circumstances we all face. Mid-week worship services are held every Wednesday night.

Hangout begins at 6:00pm
Worship and Teaching begins at 6:30pm

Special Events

We take various trips, serve locally in Decatur County, and spend intentional time outside church getting to know each other better. Stay tuned for what is coming up.

The Strength to Stand Student Bible Conferences are designed to offer a well-balanced, intense conference that will challenge your students to go beyond the surface of casual Christianity and bring them into a lifetime commitment to Jesus Christ. Born of a vision to see thousands of students congregating in the Great Smoky Mountains, these conferences are designed for students yearning for a deeper, more effective relationship with Christ. In addition to discipleship, students can respond to the Gospel. We make no apology for confronting lost students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

A place to grow...

We say often in our Student Ministry that we have a lot of fun, but we take Jesus very seriously. It is our desire for our students to have a place where they belong and feel cared for while hearing and living out the truths of the Gospel. We pray that we are discipling and training up a generation who is passionate about the gospel and helping others find Life in Christ. FBC Student Ministry consists of students from 6th -12th grade.

Here are a few things we believe…

  1. Students are not problems to be fixed but wonder to behold.
  2. We desire to unite student’s passion with their gifts for God’s Glory.
  3. Worship is more than songs we sing; it is a lifestyle we live.
  4. Every Student has a story worth sharing.
